Andrea Hudspeth | Aquila Wildlife and Nature CIC
I have always been passionate about nature and animals. My professional journey began in the business sector, where I gained extensive experience in retail, sales, hospitality, and customer service management. In 1999, I transitioned into adult and further education, dedicating myself to teaching. However, my enduring love for wildlife led me to make a significant career change in 2006, when I embarked on a full-time degree in Wildlife and Countryside Conservation.
Beyond my role at Aquila, I am actively involved in various conservation initiatives. I am a volunteer raptor surveyor for Tayside & Fife Raptor Study Group, contributing to the monitoring and protection of birds of prey in the region. Additionally, I am a committee member and Fundraiser for the Central Scotland Bat Group, organising events, bat walks, talks, and children's activities to promote bat conservation. I am also a Trustee of the charity Hen Harrier Action.
My commitment to wildlife and nature extends to my community, where I manage educational walks, tours and events, sharing my knowledge and fostering a deeper appreciation for Scotland's natural heritage in my current role as Managing Director of Aquila Wildlife & Nature CIC.
