Carys Hughes | Nature Connects Perthshire CIC
I have always had a strong connection to nature, since my younger days of listening to the birds and feeling the warm sun on my skin. My knowledge of the benefits of nature was evident then and how nature was so important to our health and wellbeing. I embarked on my love of nature and health approximately 15 years ago, working in community engagement, community health then eventually went back to full time education and studied Public Health.
I continued my learning through nature courses such as Bushcraft, Foraging, Forest Bathing, Meditation and Mindfulness and started working with lots of charities, organisations and combining nature and wellbeing together. I have worked with adults, families, children, teens and create exciting workshops to connect people to nature through fun, exploration and curiosity.
I am now currently studying to become a counselling to bring nature and therapy together, and I am currently starting my HND and have exciting plans for this part of my new venture.
